Hans Walter Reiner began training as a woodwind instrument maker in 1917 in his father's workshop Anton Reiner.
After completing his apprenticeship, he got a job at the company Gebr. Mönnig, some time later he had the opportunity to work for one of the great Böhmflöten specialists: Philipp Hammig.
In 1936 he passed his master's examination. In the meantime, he had also learned to play the Bohemian Flute and played in the Musikverein Orchestra.
Workshop foundation in Schöneck between 1936 and 1938.
He survived the wartime in a military orchestra. He wrote to his beloved flute that he didn't have to hurt anyone in the war. In the 60s, he developed the "ballast-free" Bohemian flute in collaboration with the Berlin flutist Otto Rühlemann, in which the soldered splints and rings were omitted. Together with him, a high-fis mechanism was also developed, which eliminated addressing problems with Fis 3 due to the design. Hans Reiner produced excellent piccolos and alto flutes in addition to the concert flutes.
